Starting Schedule
Welcome back to school! The first rehearsals for each ensemble will be on the following dates:
Choir: Wednesday September 9th at 2:40pm
Senior Band: Monday September 14th at 7:00am
Senior Jazz: Tuesday September 15th at 7:00am
Junior Jazz: Tuesday September 15th at 2:40pm
All Music Students
There will be a meeting in the music room at lunch on Thursday September 10th for ALL music students! This will cover important topics such as
-Schedule
-Concerts
-Music Leadership Committee
-Spring Trip
Attendance is not mandatory, but those who attend will get some good information!
Bus Information
Our district is phasing out the ability for students to bring their instruments on school busses. Beginning January 2027, students will only be allowed to bring instruments on a school bus if that instrument can fit entirely within their backpack.
From now until January, students will be permitted to bring instruments on a school bus when they can be carried safely on the student’s lap without interfering with the student beside them or with space in the aisle. “Larger instruments may also be permitted during this transition period where they can be transported safely.” I am unsure what exactly that means, but it probably means get express permission to bring the larger instrument on the bus.
For any students impacted by this change, please get in touch with me and we can sort out an alternative to bringing the instrument on the bus.
